Hi I am just about to rip up my kitchen tiles and put cushion flooring down, from the lye of the tiles I am most certain that the floor is very uneven in places, i have self leveling cement, but just wondered on the best method for using it! Should I only put it in the areas that are lowest and use a plank to level it to the highest points?

Should i find the highest point first and use some string to see what it will look like?

Also should I give the floor a good coat of unibond first?

Thanks for any help

Self-Levelling cement is expensive so yes I think this is your best bet! This is something I have done a long time ago when 'patching' an existing floor prior to laying down kitchen vinyl.

However concrete/cement can be prone to coming away if laid on too thinly so I would check to see if there is any advice on the packaging as to minimum thickness.
