Hi
This is my first post here and I need some help.
I have recently bought an old house that we are doing up. We've started in the kitchen and have just had the plastering done. Next on the list is the floor.
The problem I have is that the flooring that is currently down is a lino type covering stuck firmly down with what looks like bitumen. It is stuck down so well that it is took me from 3pm - 11:30pm to scrape it up for half of the room just around the edge. It took roughly 30mins - 45mins to do a 100mm x 500mm section. The room is roughly 35sqm so it will take days to get it all up.
What I want to know is can I pour a latex self levelling compound over the top? Or are there any other ways that you have come up with to deal with this problem?
I await your responses.
Regards,
Andrew
