I want to level a small area of my basement floor to use for indoor cycling on a turbo trainer. Area is 2.1m x 1.6m.

The existing floor is cement based and, as well as being generally uneven, slopes about 60mm from highest point.

Mapei 3240 is recommended to depth of 40mm. Could I do 40mm then add another layer on top after a week or so? Or any other suggestions to level it up?

At the deep end you could chuck concrete at it- so 55mm at the deep end, stop where the level concrete is about 25mm, let it cure then (a lot less) SLC

Or sit one end of your bike on a bit of 3 x 2 :)
