Hi
I know there are already a lot of threads on this topic but I just wanted to ask a few questions. I am about to try and level a subfloor before relaying engineered boards.
The guys who did the floor originally did a poor job so I'm going to try and do it myself.
1. How hard is it to cock up using self levelling compound? Is there anything that can really go wrong?
2. I'm a bit nervous about how I can use a trowel to move the compound around over larger areas. Is there a different tool that i can use to push the compound around that would be easier for large areas?
3. I need to keep the compound application as thin as possible (otherwise the floor height will increase too much and throw other lines out). How can I ensure that I'm only putting down 2-3mm on top of the existing subfloor?
Any advice much appreciated.
