servis 1000 washer dryer full of water after powercut

I have just had a power cut and everything is back to normal except my servis easi logic 1000 washer dryer it was in the middle of a quick wash and after the power came back on there was a loud bang came from it. All the lights are working but no matter what programme I choose it is not moving. so right now it's full of water. Can any one help please :p

I'm no great help, but it sounds like it needs mending :(

Two simple things you can try:

Unplug it first!

If you detach the waste hose from its trap, and lower it into a bucket, the water will drain out under gravity. You may then be able to open the door and remove the wet clothes.

You can check the fuse in the plug, and fit a new one if it has blown.
edited - sorry, you said the lights are working, so it won't be the fuse

You might be able to restart it.


Otherwise, start asking friends a neighbours for a trusted repairman :(
 
thanks JohnD have managed to get most of the water out so will need to call in an expert I think :cry:
