Servis Quartz 1100A - No fill and spins in short bursts

When starting a cycle, the machine does not fill, but drum turns in very short bursts - approx 1 sec each. Same behaviour for spin cycle.
I have checked tacho magnet, and 1 side of brushes - about 1/2" left. Also checked pressure switch - disconnecting tube makes no difference to above, but activating pressure switch starts drain pump.

ANy ideas?

Certainly sounds like a tacho fault. Check the pcb and the wiring.

Thanks sleepyhead, it looks like you are right - from the resistance reading, I'm pretty sure one of the large resistors has gone on the module; I'll get it fixed in the next day or 2, and hopefully the machine will have a new lease of life.
