Hello! Ive successfully drained the water (all over the floor!) and cleaned out a very smelly filter, but the washing machine is still not working. Any ideas please? I thought maybe it woudn't spin while there was still water in it, but having sorted that I can't think what to do next. Resort to an engineer?

Thanks if you can help!

Not spinning could be down to a few reasons.

Does the machine rotate normally during the wash cycle.
Does it drain ok now

Worn motor brushes or start capacitor for the motor could stop it
Motor speed controller could be U/S
Blocked pump, filter, waste hose
Blocked or U/S Pressure switch
