SF40 Foil insulation between/over ceiling joists?

Hi all

Can the SF19/SF40 foil insulation be used between or across ceiling joists when insulatiing a loft? It only seems to mention being used below the roof.

DIY mate. My 1920's house has almost no insulation so I wish to start over and do it new.

The trouble is the joists are only 100mm high so I can only fit 100mm-150mm on insulation in between, and then I want to lay the SF19/SF40 on top of the joists as a big joined carpet and board down on top of that with loft boards so I can move around and store the xmas decs
