Hi folks,

I have a lot of shady spots in my garden.

In the past I've used shady grass seed from B&Q for these sections. It's ok but goes very thin by late summer then dies over winter.

Is there any particularly good seed to use for these sections? Something that might give me better results?

Cheers

I was once told by a turf supplier that there was no such thing as 'shady grass'. He said all grass needs good sunlight. He said the biggest problem he came across was people with small gardens and 6ft fences! May have just been spinning me a line though....

Oh right, that kinda makes sense.

I might be doomed then. 6 foot fences and the sun doesn't reach a lot of the edges.
