Hi,

The chain on my electric chainsaw needs sharpening. I've got a Dremel-type tool, but what diameter of sharpening stone will I need to sharpen the blade?

The chain specification is below:

Pitch: 3/8" / 9.525mm
Gauge: 0.043" / 1.1mm
Drive links: 40
Bar Size: 10" / 25cm

I was planning to use something like these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294909868976 but need to get the right diameter I assume?

Thanks in advance,

Adrian

Second the file kit.
Have one. You need the correct size for the blade and to watch an instruction video.
Massive difference

On an electric chainsaw that will be "3/8 Low Profile" or what Stihl call "Picco", and you need a 4mm file.

Or a combined tooth and depth gauge guide like this ..
