Hi all,

having just laid a (rather well done ;) ) patio, we have wisely decided to put a shed on it  .
I know a concrete base would have been better, but as the slabs are there would it be acceptable to make a wooden frame from fenceposts for the base. lay a wooden floor and bolt the shed to the slabs through the wood using expansion bolts or similar?
Has anyone done anything similar and had problems with water/rodents?
If this seems basic, apologies in advance, but never done it before!

P.S The shed is a metal framed jobbie with no internal floor

Put a layer of dpc or shed felt between base and floor, or indeed between base and patio.
Also chuck some water down before going ahead, and make sure none pools near the timber posts.
You could just screw the base of shed straight into the posts with decent sized exterior grade screws.
