Will I was up early this morning and down to the local Screwfix to collect everything I needed. Glad to say everything was in stock so thumbs up to them. Quick detour was required on the way home for a short length of 4mm t&e.

Everything went in well with a little help from a mate, electrician is popping by in a bit to check everything's A1 and do the necessary.

Thanks to all those who assisted in the other thread. I'll post the results when I get them.

I hope you can post results. At least then we know you have not electrocuted yourself? Not sure why you need 4mm² twin and earth? Using a short length of conduit as in your picture I would have used singles or some 4mm² flex so the earth was also 4mm². Well really I would have just stripped back more of the SWA and taken that straight into the consumer unit together with 6mm² earth.

Are you saying the 4mm is wrong?
