I built a shed and moved an external socket within it.
The socket is fed from the main cu on a 16A mcb via 2.5mm armoured cable.
What is the best way to add lights and a few socket in the shed?

Add extra sockets as required in 2.5mm² fit an FCU (spur) with a 3 amp fuse for lights.

Oh and you'll need rcd protection if you don't already have it.
