Hi,

I'm a furniture maker ad in the process of converting my shed into a small workshop. I need to be able to work i there during the winter so I want to insulate it. I've googled and looked at lots of different options but there’s so much information its just confusing. I'm on a bit of a budget but moneys not extremely tight. I was planning on using insulation board, so what would you recommend brand was, quality vs price, also should I use some kind of membrane behind the board. I keep reading about breathable membranes but ind find any actual products. I was thinking about covering up the board with plasterboard but I don't no if this is stronge enough. Because I want to put up shelves up that will have quite heavy tools. So perhaps plyboard but that would be expensive, are there any other options.

Cheers for any help
Joe

you need around a 1" gap so external cladding gap breathable builders membrane insulation and 12mm ply then you can fix anything to the wall with wood screws without batons unless it weighs a lot
