Hello,

I have a shed about 10ft away from the rear of my house and I needed to light it up one night as I was working in it. I ran a 4 way extension from my outside socket to my shed then plugged a small light in. The outside socket is turned off in the house by a fused switch. I forgot all about it and left it there and as I have not been in the garden much recently I only noticed it the other night.

Is it dangerous to leave it connected?

If the outside socket is protected by an RCD and people are not able to trip over the cable the risk of injury is small.

If the RCD also protects the socket for the fridge freezer the risk of losing power to the freezer I would say is significant.
