Hi,

Just bought a shower kit from hansgrohe.
Its good, and the shower head is lovely, but I have made one error;

The shower hose for some reason is 1.7M long.
I need a hose of about 1.4-5M long.

The hose is smooth so no convolutions (bad limescale problem, and those normal shower hoses are a pain to clean) I know I could replace with a 1.5m hose, but the kit weren't too cheap.
Is it possible for the DIYer to trim a shower hose down?

Cheers
Tim

One word naw . If its expensive as you say then you wont want to cheapen the look by trying to shorten it anyway .
Bite the bullet my tight friend and spend your hard earned on a short fellow.

Thanks 4 replies.
Thought as much.
It wasn't that expensive, but any money wasted is apain, esp from the mrs.

1. Cut a section from the middle of the hose to give correct length.

2. Insert a suitable piece of pipe into the hose and secure with 2 jubilee clips.

3. If you find that the clips scratch your ar$e when showering wrap them in insulation tape to match the colour of your hose!!

4. Do as previously suggested!! :LOL:
