I bought some ready made wooden blinds, the width is OK, but it's the length that is the problem. A 160cm drop for a 93cm window. Being made of wood, they weigh a ton when I raise them just to open the window. I know it is possible to shorten blinds, but the bottom slat has some little button-like things where the end of the strings are concealed. Trouble is, I can't take these things off.
I know lots of people adjust venetian blinds for length, but it's hard to do without any instructions. Anybody have any ideas?
