Should I demolish my crappy garage

Clue in the title - I'd like to get rid as I have no use for it and the garden would be a little better without it. But I can think of a few implications and I'd like to think this through to be prepared. Repair is an option and probably could be done for <£500.

Here goes:

1) How much for demolition of a double-length garage with 2/3rds asbestos roof ? In total approx 24 foot long and 7 foot wide. Asbestos roof is 2 pitched pieces. After that is a corrugated clear plastic with a large hole that has not taken its cheap repair !

I've seen flyers for £300 but suspect mine double - not sure why I think that; I'll get quotes too.

2) next - next doors garage is the same asbestos building at first then at the back joined to mine. They are indifferent about it but don't have money to demolish so I'd have to fund to "make good".

3) Finally - what to do with concrete base ?
Obviously, dig it up would be best but this sounds like an invitation to fall out with all my neighbours about noise, and presumably quite a bit more money.
Any rough guesses for 24x7 foor please ? No idea how deep, I guess 4-6 inches.

My reticence is quite even about the costs spiralling and also the effort, time & disruption (make next door structure good and noise of removing so much concrete).

I'd right-off a grand into it as I believe inevitable, but no idea where that will leave me.

What type of company would people approach for such situation please ??
(I mean generally - tho if you'd like to recommend, I'm in south Manchester).

Thoughts appreciated. I can send a pic but it just shows what I've described.

Happy easter.

I've been quoted (by three different builders, as part of a larger piece of work) ~£2,000 to demolish a double garage, break up the slab, and remove all from site.
My garage doesn't have asbestos.

So I'd be thinking somewhere between one and two grand for yours.

Just approach general builders - they may be interested if they are between jobs.

Most people would be envious of a garage. I'd keep it, but I guess it depends on your needs.

The asbestos removal is a specialist job - allow £400 just for that.

Three skips at the best part of £200 each.

Not entirely sure about the labour - 3 or 4 mandays for a guess unless the waste has to be barrowed a long way. Plus making good.

No way you will get it done by reputable guys for a grand.
