Living in the Northern Iris climate weather is somewhat unpredictable! So when I install my underfloor heating in a kitchen I was contemplating having a rad as well for cold snap times when heat required quicker. Is this advised or not?
UFH would be best left on during the winter, even on its lowest setting, otherwise you will have heat the slab each time before you feel the heat. If you fit a rad, it defeats the object of ufh IMO. Also depends on kitchen wall space. Ask your missus, its safer..
