Hi,
I have a white night vented tumble dryer (twin heat, reverse spin) i bought second hand about 12 years ago. It works perfectly and has never failed me.
Because of the age of it I as wondering if maybe it would be more economical to get rid of it and buy a new one.

I see newer ones have auto cut off when dry, etc which my current one doesn't.

Would the running cost savings of a new one (if any) be enough to offset the cost of the machine?

Thanks for any advice

At 12 years of age, I'd just run the thing until it dies naturally.....but there's no point in over drying clothes so set the timer accordingly.
Using electricity to create heat will always be expensive, which ever way its done.
John :)
