I would also have left slack on the earth conductor so that in the event the cable gets pulled out, the earth is the last conductor, not the first to be pulled from it's terminal.

Seems like the way it has been designed invites the installer to do it wrong when they go to the effort of making it look neat.

yes, you rarely leave those things, thinking that a perfect connection and will give no problems.

In reality, there aren't many, reports of problems.

But... the way it's designed is to make all 3 wires the same length, it may even say that in the MIs
