I'm looking at installing a 7.5 kw electric shower and a 1.8kw infra red in an en suite.
I've currently got 10mm cable running down to the cu.
Is there an acceptable/standard way to power the infra red off this monster cable or am i best off extending/spurring off the ring (loads of extra work if i have to do that) :(

Possible to draw in dedicated heater circuit at the same time from main DB?

If not I suppose at a push, you could make the 10mm² a submain and fit a two way board with 32A and 10A/16A breakers, not sure its a particualy 'nice' solution though!

Seems like a perfectly reasonable soloution to me.

Yeah, Perhaps I'm just a bit of a perfectionist at heart
