Hi Guys

I have just got the above and it is now fitted in, it has a Jacuzi, tropical shower head, Steam generator etc,

The problem is with the hot water pressure, the cold water is fed from the mains but the hot is gravity fed from the immersion heater which is on the same level as the shower unit.

The cold water flies out of the shower head but the hot just trickles out.

Is there a pump that will just do the hot water or do both the hot and cold need to be on a pump? so as to equalise the pressure, if so would I have to take the cold feed off the mains and take a feed from the cold water tank in the loft? (I was told some pumps cant accept the water presure from the mains, not sure if that is correct?)

Also how would I know if I required a 1.5 bar or 2.0 bar pump.

hope you understand all that drivel, I dont and I wrote it. lol

Thanks Kenny

Although in theory you could buy a single impeller for the hot water and add pressure reducing valve, non-return valves etc etc there is no guarantee of this working.

The safest bet is to buy a twin impeller that will feed from the cold and hot water storage vessels independently.

Thanks swidders, do I need to take a feed from the cold water tank then? is it correct that some pumps dont like the pressure from the mains.

also would a 1.5 bar be sufficient or not.

Regards

Independent feed from the cold water tank, surrey flange from the hot water cylinder.

Power of pump up to you but check manufacturers instructions (online) to ensure your current storage tank capacities are sufficient.
