i've just finished installing a shower(9.5kw), i have followed all the safety measures fitting a 45 amp mcb(consumer unit already fitted with rcd) 10mm cable 50amp double pole pull cord switch, all working fine and happy, but i would just querie the use of 10mm cable as the cable used inside the shower unit is only 6mm and 4mm, i dont undrstand using 10mm to then step down to 6mm on the shower. has anyone got any thoughts

voltage drop, wether cable run is thru insulation etc etc. depending on length you can wire a shower in 6, but its best to use 10MM (means you dont have to change it from 6 to 10 at a later date

itll use 6 inside because it can take the load
