Shower cold after graden tap fitted

Hi

Yesterday I fitted a outside garden tap with a self piercing tap to the cold water pipe under the sink. I had the water turned off at the mains whilst doing this.

This morning I went to use my Mira Jump electric shower and it will only run cold. If i turn it to the highest setting it runs hot then goes freezing after a couple of minutes. It has always ran fine until yesterday.

Could there be a air lock?

IF the two are related then more likely to be a small copper plug (pushed out by the self-cutting tap) is restricting the flow of water to the shower. What is flow rate like ?

The flow seems to be the same as before or at least not noticeable different
