Hi All,

I moved into our home a year ago now and I'm just getting round to fixing the shower. The previous owners left a note telling us that there was a funny smell coming from the swich near the main fusebox (the consumer Unit). We've not used it yet and I want to install a new consumer unit before we do. The only thing is that I'm not sure which unit to get.

I've seen few and need some help choosing. The one already there is a 30A Wylexunit and it looks like the one here. http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=21377&ts=63038 (a 1 way)

But this is a 45A. Do I only need a 1 way?

If it helps the shower is wired as follows.
From the main fuse box there is a consumer unit, which has a pull swich in the shower room and that then goes to the shower itself.

Many Thanks,
Tom

Do a search here for shower, tails, henley, service fuse etc - you'll find lots of info.

But basically no - that is not the sort you need - look for shower CUs on Screwfix or TLC - it should have an RCD.
