Shower downlights & LED bulbs

quick question - I have some shower downlights (240v, 50W) and was wondering if I could use LED bulbs with them. Is this possible? I saw some on screwfix which look like they'd fit & work but I'm not sure,

what d'ya reckon? the LED lights are 1.5w and I was also wondering if they'd be bright enough

replaceable yes but no way as effective as a halogen lamp, leds are effect lighting and very pretty at the same time but not suitable for lighting areas properly.

depends how many you have, but generally i would say no for a shower

CFLs are 9 watts and brighter than halogens.
