shower drain

i'm fitting a shower in ensuite bathroom, i've looked a various ways of draining but the simplist way would be to run the pipe through the garage below and into the waste that come from the washing machine.
do you think i will have a problem with shower and washer both draining together or would i just have to try it and see what happens

can't you get it straight to the soil stack ?

i can get it into the soil pipe it's just that it's a bit of a run approx 12ft to the soil pipe, i just though it might be easier to run it down inside the garage but if it's going to cause problem i'll not bother
