Hi all,
Started fitting my shower enclosure today which comprises of a side panel and door on one side, and then a wide side panel for a 900 x 900 cubicle, and encountered a problem with it.
I obviously checked all my levels with respect to the tray, and the walls and it all looks fine. However, when I come to fit the inline panel into the bracket, it doesn't sit right. I presumed my tray was very slightly out of level but then when resting the door against it on the tray (which is perfectly straight- no defects there), the two panels don't come anywhere close to lining up against each other.
I'm so confused! I then assumed it was a manufacturing defect with the shower panels but it's hard to gauge to be honest it they are perfectly rectangular, and laying a couple on the floor, one on top of the other, suggests they are ok.
What am I doing wrong? Will these panels always be slightly misaligned? Assume there's no way I can fit the door to this inline panel where it is out of alignment so much. First photo is spirit level on tray. Second is the level against the wall, and then against the outer edge of inline panel to show how out it is. The last photo is how much the door is then out, even when this panel is laid flat on the tray with the bottom corners of the door and inline panel meeting.
