Recently our Bristan shower (which is over the bath) combined with a varispeed 50 water pump has started to play up.
For example there are lots of occasions and especially this morning when no cold water is coming out of the shower at all and the shower only produces hot water? the pump is making funny noises trying to pump a mix of water through? No water had been drawn out of the cold water tank in the loft before I went in the shower so there was a full tank of water in there.
If I turn on the cold water tap in the bath I am getting cold water but it is spluttering a bit, but the cold water is running
Any ideas on what can be causing this? as sometimes it works fine but other times it causes the above problem?
I have checked the cold water tank in the loft which is 114 litres and it is filling up fine when water is being drawn through the shower so I am at a loss to work out why this happens sometimes and other occassions its fine>
