I've got a shower head similar to the one shown at this address --> http://www.bathroomstuff.co.uk/product188.html

When it was first installed a few years ago the water came down in a straight flow, ie a vertical column of water. Since then I've needed to descale it a few times. Sometimes, when I put thbe head back on the water is flared slightly outwards from the head, leaving what feels like an area directly under the head that is empty of water. Is there a way of adjusting the head so that I can always get a straight downpour?

Could be that you're overtightening it and the rubber washer is pushing into the path of the water flowing down the pipe. Possibly
