shower install - some advice please

Hey all

so I’m doing my first shower install (I’m refurbing my house - I’m not a pro) and I’m a bit stuck on how to connect the rain shower to the pipework. Apologise in advance if this is all basic stuff.

the shower I bought didn’t come with installation instructions, and unsure what type of coupler/connector to use to just pex pipework to the rain shower and extension.

attached are pictures of my install so far. I’m going to fit copper tails onto the push fit elbows. I’m going to have plasterboard, then PVC panels instead of tiles.

a few questions.

1. How do connect the rain shower pipe to the copper tail, the rain shower extension pipe is a fair bit bigger than 15mm pipe... is this normal, and what fitting in what order do I need to use to fit.

2. how do I connect the shower head... I think the shower head looks like 15mm... but has a hexagonal inner section (see pictures)

3. the rubber seal on the rain shower, should this sit on the pvc panel? Should I use sealant here.

anything else I should be aware of when fitting everything.

PS. Pipework is all connected to the shower valve (not shown in pictures) - I haven’t yet taken the pipe up for the rain shower.
