Folks,
I have an upstairs bathroom shower tray fully tiled in with ceramic tiles. A nasty line of damp stain has appeared below this in the hall. I am faced with pulling down the hall ceiling as this would be much cheaper to repair than pulling up the tray and tiles.

Before I look at doing this does anyone know of a leak sealer type product that I could use to put down the shower waste in the hope it would seal up what is probably a minor joint leak and this would save a huge effort for a small leak.

Or any experience that would help much appreciated.

Cheers,

No such product.

I had a similar problem with a leaking shower, see THIS It was a nightmare but got it sorted in the end. 8)

Take it apart if you have to and reseal. If it is a waste pipe joint , renew it.
You need a belt and braces job with shower cubicles/trays :D

Probably not a joint leak, but the grouting on the tiles.you`ll know when the ceiling`s out
