Hi,

Not sure if this should be here or in electrics or appliances....

Anyway, the house we bought two years ago has a Mira Sport electric shower (8.5kw). I think it's quite old because it is beige/grey in colour rather than white.

Anyway, it has worked fine for two years, but this past weekend the low pressure light comes on when selecting low or high (cool is fine) so I have been having ice cold showers.

The shower is mains fed as far as I am aware. There has been no noticable pressure drop at any taps or anything like that. I went into the loft and turned off the isolating tap while the shower was running, and then slowly turned it back on, which seemed to kick it into action, but this morning it wasn't working.

So my questions are:
1) What are the possible causes? I'm guessing some part is limescaled up so the flow is restricted?
2) Can I do anything about it myself, or do I need to call someone in, what witha ll the Part P legislation.

Thanks in advance.
