shower mixer

i have a shower mixer-works off combi-
it gets scolding hot after a few seconds and cant be adjusted
am i looking at a new mixer or can it be repaired
it doesnt tell me the make or model on the shower

Sounds like the mixer valve has died to me the cartridge is replaceable and if you can remove it you should be able to take that in to a merchants and get a replacement.
