Shower niche

I had two niches added in shower while renovating it and the tiling looks great everywhere except for round the edges of the niche. Whys it like this and whats best fix?

No they are tilers and the rest all looks fine...i think maybe the apprentice did this bit...i will add some trim as you suggested, thanks

No I don't think the rest looks fine at all, I can see heat damage on the stainless steel trim mitres, lazy shoddy not cleaning it up.
I have a wet table circular tile saw that I call Mr chippy, it gives a Finnish just like that. I now use a hand held angle grinder with a marchrist blade.
Fancy letting the apprentice do that bit and then worse letting it pass.

You could scrape out some grout and sand the edge of the chipped tiles which would improve it, then re grout.

Why don't you get the contractor back to sort it?

They are coming back to do another shower upstairs which will also have niches so i will point it out to them...im worried they will make a bigger mess if try to change now...the trim doesnt meet and i assume has burn marks from an angle grinder as you say...i did think about sanding the edge but the trim looks bad also so might be easier to just cover it all...i will see what they say...they have tiled floors and walls across all the house (im in Italy) and all rest looks good, its just this that they messed up...i think they left and either the apprentice or the builders finished it of.

That burn mark should be able to be removed with something like Ciff or autosol - do not sand it otherwise you will scratch it.
Looking a bit closer it looks like brushed stainless steel so maybe a very fine wet and dry paper but only on the burn mark literally mm's of movement.
