Hmm. That's not good - It turns out there is an isolator after the meter – which is handy :D

I think the only realistic option here is complete CU replacment, as:

After further consideration, I don't really want to move the upstairs sockets off the RCD as this would make them more dangerous. It seems wrong to take away any degree of safety that's already in place.

Assuming that I could replace/extend the RCD busbar (and shorten the non-RCD side) to incorporate the up, down sockets and shower, it's only rated @ 63 amps so this may cause more problems than it solves.

I don't have the tools or knowledge to perform the required testing for a full CU replacment, so it's time to call in a pro unless anyone else has any other suggestions?
