Hello!

I bought a shower/steam room/bath type thing last year and had it installed around January this year. I've been having the house renovated and was going to move in this week, when we suddenly discovered the hot water on the shower isn't working. After several conversations with various plumbers/ the maker of the shower we have discovered that we need 1.5 bar pressure and that we don't have anything like that on the hot water.

The obvious solution would be a pump, but we have a small tank and a small cylinder feeding the shower - my plumber guy thinks a pump will empty the tank in approx 4 minutes. To rip out the shower cubicle and put in a new bath/shower, plus tile the walls (expensive tiles used in the rest of the bathroom) will cost us a fortune and seriously delay moving in (we got married 2 months ago and NEED to move in!) but I don't know if there are any other options?

Is there anything we can do, will a larger tank/cylinder do the job or will it just mean we only get 8 minutes hot water rather than 4? We have a conventional boiler.

Is there anything else we can do, say fit some sort of electric heater onto the pipes (like you get in office buildings for making cups of tea) which will heat the water quickly enough to give us sufficient time to get a shower and sufficient power? (the cold pressure is ok).

I really need some help with this, we are running out of money big time and I desperately want to move in, I should have done more research before buying the shower/steam room but it's the first house I've owned and I got a little over excited!

Thanks!
