Shower pull switch

Where should the on/off pull switch be in relation to the shower?....mine has been put next to the shower curtain and within easy reach of anyone in the shower
I thought the switch had to be out of reach of the shower
Help please

How high's the ceiling? Is the head demountable? What type of switch is it?

Thanks for that...the neon is not working on the existing switch so I went out today and got a new BS3676 one.

greater than 2.5mtrs high and 300mm away from edge of bath is fine, i generally install nearer the door next to an exsistin pull cord for lights and shorten cord or add a switch out side if customer wants it.
