Hi,

My shower pump pulses when it is not on hot or cold.

My setup is as follows.

Hot water cylinder Essex flange 22mm to whole house pump. (Stuart Turner 3 Bar single). 22mm pipe to bathroom. Reduces to 15mm for shower valve.

3 Way shower valve with mains cold and pumped hot. Mains cold fitted with PRV (set at 3bar but sometimes main is just under 3) The PRV gauge pulses when the pump does also (from 1 bar then when pulses to 3 bar)

It pulses when on hand shower or rain shower doesnt pulse on bath filler.

It doesnt pulse on just cold (as its off) and doesnt pulse when at bout 42 degrees.

Any suggestions? Ask any questions will try to explain clearly.

Cheers guys

Pulsing is usually caused by sticking non return valve/s and its never a good idea to mix mains and pumped supplies as your finding out, all I can suggest is take out the nrv,s and put single check valve in the pipework.
