Shower Pump

Could anyone advise what is required when installing a shower pump behind a studded wall in a shower cubicle. The final installation would be tiled in and accessable via an unscrewable panel.

I'm thinking of swapping a rarely used plug socket spur from the garage to feed the pump (feeding cable would be easy), are there any regs surrounding the cable/conduit etc, baring n mind taht a connection would be needed behind the studded wall where all the plumbing would be.

I'm starting to convince myself this isn't a good idea.........

Don't you mean accessable via a screwable panel?

I would imagine you would use a switched FCU to connect it.

Don't forget supplementary bonding.

OK, so I've got a pump on the floor behind where the shower cubicle will be tiled in. I can feed a 2.5mm t&e to it from the loft. I can connect this 2.5mm t&e to form a 13A fused spur.

I would then have to connect the 2.5mmt&e to the flex on the pump.

This connection would be behind what would become a tiled plasterboard wall in my shower cubicle. There are water pipes there too - feeding the shower. I assume that this proximity of water and electricity gives rise to soem fairly stringent requirements - but I don't know what they are.

Can someone tell me what is required, or shall I put the pump in the airing cupboard and have done with it?

The pump MUST be accessible. For various reasons - im sure they will pop into your head eventually.
