Does a shower pump have to be located below the shower it feeds?
(Conventional vented system, two storey house, boiler/HW tank/shower on first floor, pump at ceiling hight downstairs).
Want to fit another shower downstairs & another pump (or dual o/p one) in same location?
Advice appreciated.

No. It has to be installed according to the manufacturer's intructions.

In the case of positive head pumps, there is a minimum distance between base of cold water storage cistern and pump inlet, and this distance is always greater than zero.

In the the case of negative head pumps, the same rules applies, but the distance can be less than zero.

The outlet height is not so important.
