Shower RCD Trip Box

I would like to change my shower, currently 7.0w, to 7.5w. We do not have an rcd trip box. Do we need actually need one for the new shower? Obviously we've never had any problems with the current shower it's just ugly and old. Only it's going to double the cost of the project.

Test it once a month

Cheap ones are cheap for a reason
(avoid cheap ones with no makers name on Fleabay)

The rating of the MCB must not exceed the capacity of the cable that is installed, and you can't use a shower rated higher.

Dude, you're upgrading your shower. Do you realise how pathetic and sad a 7.5kw shower is by todays standards???

Get a 9.5 and triple the cost of the project You wont regret it!!
