Hi,

I am putting in a shower room with a toilet, sink and extraction fan.

The bathroom floor foot print is 3.04 m x 2.17 m.
It's 2.4m to the ceiling.

Can anyone recommend a fan that will work well enough to prevent mildue even if showers last for 1 hour ! ( unfortunately that can happen ).

The fan should work according to presence in the room.

Is it possible to have a fan that is
- on when the light switch is on and remains on for 5 mins afterwards.
- on when the shower is on and remains on for 30 mins afterwards

I need a fan that is going to work forever (or as close to that as possible).

Can anyone make product recommendation and/or wiring recommendation.

Thank you

Ke z

Are you aware of the legal requirements and the requirements of BS7671 when installing electrics within shower room?

Try this http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Technical/Ventilation/Ventilation4.html

Is the fan to be ceiling or wall mounted?

Presence of people or of moisture?

It may be advisable to get a humidistat, that will operate when the permitted level of humidity within the room is exceeded. This will also have an over run facility that kicks when light is operated, the time can be adjusted to suitability.

Not going to happen!

I would consider the Xpelair DX100H
You will only get 20 min over run but humidstat will kick in when required.
Also 3 year guarantee and the fan bearings are designed to last for life! (whatever life is these days?)
Shop around and you may get it for £50.00
