Hi there,

I am looking to install an extractor fan as my shower room doesn't have one currently and is the main reason my flat suffers from condensation.

Its going out of the wall and its less than 1m to the outside wall.

Can anyone advise on a decent fan or brand to buy? I would like one that has a timer so it goes off maybe 5 minutes after turning out the light. Also a fairly quiet one.

Thanks,

Luke

In the first instance would you know what cable you'd need to supply a fan with a timer and are you aware the work is notifiable under Part P?

hi chivers,

sorry but i have no idea what you mean.

i just want to know a decent fan or brand of fan and then i will tell the electrician which one i want.

Unless your shower room doesn't have a window I would get your electrician to add an extra pull switch to operate the fan otherwise you are having to switch on the light maybe on a bright sunny day.
I would definitely get one with a timer.
