Shower Room Lighting - 12v? Splash proof?

For my shower room lighting I intend to use 12v recessed downlights.

Seen these :

They say 'splashproof' suitable for bathrooms ... do they have to be rated like this, or could I use any 12v down lights? ...

Surley 12v lighting is safe for use in shower rooms?
Or must they have say seals for dampness?

No they have to be rated for zone one or two.The first ones fit the bill

Hi

they come with a rubber seal to stop vapor going into the loft.

I have the square crystal one from TLC in my bathroom - looks really nice and gives off plenty off light. It is fitted in an alcove on a dimmer.

I also have these from Screwfix. They have screw covers and are suitable for Zone 1. Check 'em out.

Would say 3x off those in a 3.2m x 1m shower room be OK?
