shower room

i'm putting in a shower enclosure and base and tiling the floor and would be grateful for a few pointers.

i have an 18mm plywood floor but need to level it, what thickness of ply should i put on top

should i tile the whole floor and then fix the base on top

should i tank the shower area before positioning the shower base.
