I have ( i think ) a mixer shower. I moved into a new house, the shower controls are directly on the wall. There is a handle for turning the shower on & another at the front of that for changing the temperature.

The shower seems to just feed off the main hot & cold water supplies.

Firstly, there is little water pressure when turning it on at first, it dribbles, it finally picks up once the hot water is drawn through.

Secndly, we now have to turn the handle very tightly to get the shower to turn off. At best it now seems to drip. We can't seem to get the water flow to completely stop.

I've had the first part of the controls off ( basically the temp control handle ) but cannot seem to see how to get the rest off.

Should i just get a plumber in?
