Hello everyone,

Is it a necessity to install shut of cocks when plumbing in a new shower?

Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

I would always install them. Make sure they are full bore valves.

Service valves should be installed on everything. I spend a fortune on them, and it pays dividends when comes to future servicing and maintenace.

We had a spate of our combis getting jammed either on or off HW mode because of Thames Water kicking crud into the mains. It took longer to park than it did to remove and clear the flow switches.
