Hi, I've just had an extension built and decided to take some of the bedroom to install an en-suite shower room. The plumber was going to install the shower tray directly ontop of an mdf floor, which I wasn't very happy about so installed 18mm marine ply for him.

I've now found that he has just 'stuck' the tray to the floor with PVA. Is this common practice? I was under the impression that the tray needed to be installed on a bed of cement (it's a stone one) as per instructions.

Just wanted to check if he's really messed up or not because we've already had words because I told him that a shower pipe was supposed to be 40mm not 32, he stated who's qualified here!

sand/cement, silicone, tile adhesive. but try stick to the instructions.

40mm waste 32mm won't take the flow
